Rab has kept the weight to a minimum with lightweight features, many of which are removeable. From the foam back panel to the detachable rope strap, you can customise the weight, rigidity and fit of the pack depending on your day’s objective.

The X-SHIELD back system is designed to sit close to your back to give you complete freedom to move with dual density foam straps for even better mobility. Thicker padding at the top for comfort, and thinner lower down, the straps contour the body and move with you. The roll top entry is highly weatherproof, strong and easy to get into, giving you space to load up with everything you need, and a wealth of gear attachments keeps equipment close at hand. Spectra
Built to take a beating, Spectra fibres are 15 times stronger than steel for their relative weight. Woven into a rip stopping grid with strong Cordura nylon, the Spectra fibres create a fabric that can withstand punishing mountain days.

X-SHIELD
Built to offer complete mobility on vertical ascents, the X-SHIELD back system sits close to the body with a form fitting, pre curved back panel. It has lightweight and low bulk construction with additional strap padding only where it’s needed.
